Those of you who have read my blog in the past may know that a while back, I endeavored to create an instrumental album using only synthesized instruments. My plan is well underway; I currently have thirty-nine minutes of music assembled in a rough tracklist. However, those thirty-nine minutes are partitioned among twenty-two tracks, most of which are under two minutes long.
I'm planning to cut the less important tracks in the album, expand some of the remaining shorter ones, and give a last-minute polish to those tracks that need it. I've barely begun the process; I hope to have a release-ready tracklisting by the end of August.
If the above paragraphs pique your interest, here's some more information:
The album could be roughly categorized as orchestral / new age / electronic (and whatever genre movie soundtracks by composers like Hans Zimmer tend to be), and there are a couple songs that feature synthesized rock guitar. The work I've uploaded to my SoundCloud is just a taste; the majority of tracks on the album will be heretofore unreleased.
