Awesome. Part of me really wants to get back into Lego Star Wars, since the sets nowadays are far superior to those from when I still collected the theme. But the other part of me cautions me against it, since I'm not the hugest Star Wars fan and the sets are expensive even by Lego standards.

Still hoping to get the new-ish Anakin and Sebulba's Podracers at some point. I really want to try MOCing some podracers to that standard, but to do so I'll need those clear beams. And since they balance on such a small footprint, LDD won't help me much (since it can't account for the force of gravity).

Yeah the sets are definitely getting better. There were a few years there where they were absolutely terrible.

If I had to recommend one set for you to get, I'd say the newest version of the X-Wing. Easily the best set I've ever built, with a ton of interesting and innovative techniques and a much more pleasing aesthetic appearance when you're done.
