I bought Thulox yesterday... I like him a lot more than I was expecting to.
He's actually sort of cute. I wish his body were both more substantial and more fixed in construction, but the Kalmah armor keeps his back double-socket from moving around, and the fact that his front socket can move means he can realistically put one leg in front of the other when walking. I would prefer his tail socket fixed in place, though. And because of the vertical alignment of his body sockets, his legs can't go into their box pose, but that's forgivable. His color scheme is much more coherent than Morak's, at any rate.
I actually only got him for pieces. I need the red Visorak feet to build a Combat Nektann (I don't have Vohtarak), and the extra black double-sockets means I can finish my Reidak revamp without tearing into Brutaka, Vezon, or Nocturn.
And now I like him so much that I made a sprite of him!
On the subject of MOCing, I had to tear apart Keetongu, Roodaka, the Toa of Shapeshifting, Oohnorak, and Mantax recently for my BBC 42 entry. Or entries, rather. A whole flock of them.
Because Bohrok Va are just so adorable that it's worth it.
