So in my dangerous exploits across the internet, I think I may have found something. Girls on the internet are more likely to use more text emotes than guys. But then the thought occurred to me what if I'm wrong? So then I thought I should ask you guys, then I thought "gee I'm thinking a lot today." So yes who posts text emotes more boys or girls. I use text emotes primarily if I don't like the image emotes of whatever site/chat service I'm using. So if : ) or : P (spaces added to prevent automatic image emotes, for demonstration purposes) turn into awful animated emotes or just generally ugly-looking picture emotes, I'm more likely to use =) and =P.

Here on BZPower, I typically use the image emotes, though it can be a hassle to find the ones I want since there are so many pointless "filler" emotes and redundant emotes here on BZPower.
