I liked this book. I read it a couple of years ago, and it has a really powerful message to it, that even the most innocent child can be savage. Or something like that, I forget.

If you can, see the B&W film about it. They do a pretty good job.

Yeah, my teacher accidentally got the "R" rated version of the movie, so now we can't watch it. But i've already seen it. Lol. There are two versions of the movie. There's the color on which is rated "R," and then a black and white one that was made ten years after the book was written. I hope that we can find the black and white version so that we can watch the movie in class. I really don't wanna sit through another boring lecture. XD.

LotF is a beautiful book, I read it 3 or so years ago, I enjoyed it. The overall plot and theme was great, and it was interesting to see how different characters responded to different situations; the book deals with human nature quite well.

I hated it, I must say. We had to use it for our English exams, and I found it really boring. Not my type of book at all.

Don't get me wrong, it's a good book - just not for me.

You wouldn't even begin to believe how many people in my class wanted to chuck the book at a burning car and then push that off a cliff.

I'm doing a project with it right now. When I first heard of it a year ago, I thought it was a really gory book. It still is, but not as much as I expected. Anyways, there's lots of sybolisms and themes and such, so, while the most of the book is pretty bad, I think it's a great book to do a project on.

If the project isn't annoying, that is...

I've done projects on some of the characters and they're pretty awesome.
