It's definetly affected my school, many students have siblings/friends down there (luckily none shot). (VT is about 2 hours from my home)

It's so annoying how the media always trys to blame it on others. CNN is trying to be all innocent after showing those pics 24/7 for days in a row. Sometimes I just want them to shut up and report about the poor victims and not glorify the murder. Leave that to the police.
