Brickeens

So, long story short, they still don't know what in the blazes is wrong with me. The less negative news is that they're not giving up here. They took more blood on Monday, and while I don't really understand what's going on they're doing DNA tests and looking for more metabolic problems that could be causing all the headaches, fatigue, nausea, and occasional muscular problems I have.

What is there even left to say at this stage?

At some point, we're going to realize you're just the very first recorded manifestation of the X-Gene, and from there, Marvel's going to try and copyright your life so they can work you in as the frist X-Man and you'll go down in history.

Like Rudolph. And Jimmy Hoffa.

If you become a super-hero, you should just go by Brickeens. I wonder what your power would be? Mine would probably be horrid puns. So I call dibs on that.

I guess that would be pretty awesome, except I think I'd make a really lame superhero. Do I save people with my superhuman ability to get sick for years at a time?

Maybe my superpower could be inflicting the symptoms of my illness on bad people. Which would probably be a really bad idea, because it would just turn them into sad, jaded, cynical people who hate the world. Like me. colbro.png

Nah, that's just your body adjusting to it. Your actual mutant power is probably going to be an instinctive knowledge of just how everything is put together, which you can use to save people by showing someone else just where to punch so the whole building crumbles like a deck of dominos.

Checkmate.

I would totally buy a Superhero Brickeens T-shirt, for the record.

(Also hope they come up with some kind of answer soon.)

this is a thing that needs to happen

(here's hoping that while this happens, other, slightly more useful things will also be happening)
