I'm gonna be a bit blunt here, but, if you keep up that sort of attitude, nothing will work. I'm not the best to say that sorta thing, since I can have that sorta thought from time to time, however, you have to take chances, and if you just are the loner type, then that won't help anything, take it from my own experiences...

I know I have to take chances, but it seems like every time I take a chance like this it ends up blowing up in my face. Which doesn't make it any easier.

Keep going, bro. It may blow up in your face, but you never know what will be around the corner. Today this girl may blow you off, but tomorrow you may find your future wife. It may not be that easy, and I have definitely felt the same way many a time, but perseverance is key!

I know that again from my own experiences, but if you just shut yourself out, you will miss out of the good stuff as well as the bad stuff.

A piece of advice, though, that might help; just try to act normal. Don't try to aim for something that might be a ways off; like; just try to be normal friends to start.

I don't think I did anything to pushy, I just gave her my number and told her to contact me if she needed help in the class. But that's pretty gutsy for me. Usually I just ignore the person until I don't have to deal with it.

The latter part is what I meant by the first part; ignoring people doesn't make anything better. Also, it's not tOO pushy, but have you talked before that, or was it just "HI here's my number call if you need help *ninja smoke trick*"? Obviously exaggeration there, but the point stands. =P

That's a good point... I had talked to her a little bit. but not much.

Getting to know her first would be a good idea. The saying that you should marry your best friend is very true.

No, that's a mistake. Continue to act if this didn't happen. If she doesn't know that she's nicked you, she will think your behavior to be cold.
