You should give the old soviet cartoon of The Snow Queen a shot, it's a classic and absolutely lovely. Just throwing it in 'cause she's not directly a villain in it, just a lonely spirit that kidnapped a child like you said.

And she looks really terrifying and beautiful at the same time



Frozen was so wonderful though, I think that changing up the story so much that it's completely it's own unique thing was the best thing they could've done.

It was very similar to the original stories except she was more of a villain in it. In the original it was just a cruel twist of fate that corrupts Kai, but if I remember this correctly The Snow Queen pricked his eye and his heart out of spite in this film. Kinda gives a Maleficent feel, only she seems a bit less blood thirsty.

 

Ultimately, though, it's still way better than The Snow Queen cgi film. Everything in that movie was so bad it was good. Everythiiiiing.

Are you referring to the Russian one that came out last year? The voice acting was so bad I could barely get through the trailer.

I saw bits of it in the thumbnails on Youtube, and noooooppppeeee not touching that, ever. It just looks absolutely terrible even at first glance.

Yup. I watched it on Netflix before I saw Frozen. Best laugh I'd had all year.
