If I'm talking about myself I also sometimes refer to it as 'annoying physicist mode'. What 'annoying physicist mode' is, you ask?
Having to answer any (easier) mathematical or physical question you come across because for once it is something you can answer, some problem you actually know how to solve or at least think you do.
Or attempting to explain stuff you know you should know by now because really.
And it doesn't even matter whether the other person actually wants to hear it, because now you are here and now you totally have to do this.
My sister often has to deal with this now - but if I just happen to know a quick and easy way to find the fitting formula if you already know which things you use and which dimensions they have, and I know that right now, I just want to/have to share it, I just can't let it go because my brain keeps nagging me about it until I've shown her the whole thing. Even if we were just about to watch a Barbie movie (because nothing ever beats pink glitter fairies. Except for giant robots, maybe xD Or Fairy Paladins, obviously.)
