I have some catching up to do, so I'll be doing just that for the first few new entries.

Right now, it's all Ninjopalooza, of course. The polls will go up later today (after the deadline, of course).

Most of the polls have been created, just need to add the latest entries. No need to ask me who is in which poll with who, because I don't remember - after a while, all you see is code, and as most entries are called Ninjo, there's no discerning whose it is just by looking at the image URL.

You know, making polls is a lot of work. Not only do you have to adapt the entries to the entry list format, which is actually the easiest part thanks to the new Quick Edit feature, but you then have to adapt the entry pic link to an image link, which requires you to adapt the image URL to the Brickshelf thumbnail one, which can only be done manually. There are also a few entries for which I need to make and upload a thumbnail, as their entries are not hosted on maj or brickshelf. There aren't too many this time around (7 so far make that 10), so that's okay, but I prefer not having to create them at all.

As you can understand, with over a hundred entries, that's quite a bit of work. Afterwards, I have to arrange all these entries in polls, preferably as mixed as possible, which isn't always as easy. I still need to make a couple of changes in the line-up for them to be intermingled enough.

Of course, all of this isn't as strenuous a task as it was last time (BBC contest #35), when I only started making the polls after the deadline. Big mistake. Especially considering the poll system changed after the forum software update. Trial and error, so now I was smart enough to start on the polls beforehand.

In any case, if you still want to participate, hurry up! Also, a word to the wise:

If you've created an entry and topic but haven't posted it in the contest topic yet, be sure to do so before the deadline ends! Entries not posted in the contest topic will not be able to participate!

There's always someone who forgets to do this, and then they complain to the contest host... (EDIT: one person so far. Any other takers?)
