Games to Play
I remember the days when I never had a backlog of games, when I didn't have more games than I could play, when I played one game at a time, dedicating myself to it and eking out each bit of play value because I didn't have other games to be getting to. The days when I would finish a game and immediately start a new playthrough. I miss those days. I'm blessed with such amazing abundance, and the games I seek out now are certainly more touching, valuable, quality experiences than many of the games my clueless younger self just happened to receive. But sometimes I just want to go back to the days before life got busy when I could really savor a game, even if that mean replaying Spyro: A Dragon's Tail and Super Monkey Ball a dozen times.
Sudden wishful nostalgia is wishful and nostalgic. Anyway.
Listed approximately by priority:
Okami (borrowed from a friend)
Skyward Sword (2nd playthrough, partway through already)
Metroid Prime Trilogy
Golden Sun
Mother 3 (gotta get myself a GBA and the fan-translated cartridge)
SmeargleLocke
Metroid Fusion
LoZ: OoT Master Quest (I'm at the Fire Temple)
Paper Mario
Super Mario RPG
Smash Bros. is always going on in the background, of course.
Also MM3D, Xenoblade Chronicles X, and Fire Emblem: Awakening I want to play at some point. But I would have to buy them, which costs money, play them, which cost time, and preferably/have to play them on a New 3DS, which costs even more money.
