Yeah, I went skateboarding for the first time ever. I was finally starting to get the hang of it, then, I got going a bit too fast and started to get speed wobbles. By the time I bailed I was going too fast to run out of it, and got some Naaaasty road rash on my left knee and palms.

Kinda smarts, but its not too bad. My knee got it the worst, as the lacerations were deep enough to sufficiently make plenty of blood run down my leg....

Funny thing though, it didnt rip my pants...........

weird... I don't have the balance to skateboard... My buddy tried to get me into it, but I just couldn't do it... These are his words:

"The great thing about skateboarding is that it eventually teaches you how to fall without hurting yourself... Too badly, at least..."

He's a riot...

Lol.

It didn't rip your pants, but it ripped your skin Under the pants?

That's funny.

I can't balance on a skateboard for anything...

At least I didn't go that bad.

Heh.

Thats ok about your sis Bundalings. I had fun talking to her LOL :P

And yeah, don't try to board if you are afraid of the things..... I was always afraid of them, but decided to do this on a spur of the moment with some friends......

I used to skateboard. I don't any more. Wanna know why? I was pushing off the ground with my foot, the skateboard shot out from under my feet, and I went down hard and broke my arm. You know what's even worse? I had to wait 24 hours in the hospital before getting it set. Pain...

So if you're planning on continuing, don't be surprised if you brake a bone or two...

Stick to biking, Roa. One other guy I know tht's a skateboarder looks like a sheep-dog...and you DON'T wanna look like him.

Did you need stitches? Sounds pretty bad...

No stitches were needed, and its just about healed up. Its starting to itch though, and I hate when that happens LOL

This wound is a double whammy for this knee, as when I was in 2nd grade, I took a bad fall on our dirt road when the rear wheel of my bike locked up (stupid huffy's). I was wearing a dress and the wound went all the way into the pocket of my kneecap. Theres two nickel sized scars left over, and I still cant feel anything when I touch the deep one.

That time it got full of rocks though. This injury was clean

Ouch Roa! That was really bad. I'm a real geek so I don't try all those things like my friends do. I don't even ride a bike so much. I prefer walking. I also skateboarded once... I really feel your pain. I hope the wound is finished healing now.

I would really wish I got a trip to Alaska! It sounds (in your blog) like there happens something new everyday!
