Halo 2 For Vista!

Halo 2 for Vista is coming out! I'm going to be one of the people owning it the 23rd, I hope >.< . I'm excited because I can play it on my laptop, and I won't have to lug my 360 around if I'm traveling, like this summer!!

Sad news is , there will be no Live while I'm traveling, -unless- I buy mobile internet. But even then it will be more expensive. It's like internet with cell phones. I believe it's $.01 per kilobyte, and it kinda adds up after playing for hours on end :drooling: . I will be able to play Halo 2 on the internet either at home or at another location with wireless/wired internet.

Anyone else planning on get Halo 2 for Vista?

Portable Halo 2 ftw.

Tell me, is it true that it's only going to be for vista?

It is.

1.) it will be DX9, so it will look graphically inferior.

2.) good luck playing a shooter on a laptop

3.) vista is a memory hog, so Halo will lag up.

Wouldn't doubt it for a second, FFBuu, but don't underestimate my laptop. It surprises me sometimes. If it's going to be lag up continuously, I can always get rid of files from my old laptop that I transfered, cut down on programs, and whatever else. Besides, Intel Core Duo is basically:

Cutting edge processing power and advanced performance in multitasking environments intense multithreaded games and applications.

And besides, you can't expect all computers/laptops to have the same power from a machine -made- for graphic gaming ;).

Timeout, from everything I've read so far, it will actually look BETTER on Vista than on the original Xbox, just so long as you have a good enough card built into your compy. And so long as you have an actual mouse it shouldn't be to hard. What I'm really excited about is the built in custom edition. If you don't have online play, then you can spend some time perfecting your own custom maps :P

I can actually buy an adapter that will let me use a controller from the 360 and use it for the game on my laptop. I think I remember seeing the price at $20. That would be kinda useful, eh?

Update on Halo2 for Vista.....

It seems that Microsoft post-poned the game to June 1..... So now I have to wait longer for it. I did, however, manage to grab a hold on the adapter device for the 360 controller to work on my pc, and it seems to be working just as I thought it would. Now all I need is a game to play it with.......
