Wow. I saw this come up on the news. My goodness. I thought that when the American women won gold, then Canadian men would go on to win gold, and we'd be even. But I guess that Canada is walking away without the either. It's so strange. And I honestly didn't expect Germany to beat Canada. It was just assumed that it would be Canada and Russia. And not only that, but Germany is going on to the gold medal game? Germany? They haven't won a medal in forty-two years. It was bronze, and so was their only ether medal back in 1932. This is the farthest they've ever come.

Anyway, go Germany! Beat those Russkies all the way back to Siberia! WOOT!

In other news, I've been researching all of the Canadian athletes at the Olympics, and discovered this guy named Brendan Green. He's from the Northwest Territories. Totally forgot that people actually live up there. Pretty cool. Anyway, he participates in...the biathlon. Hardly surprised there, eh? Perhaps he can participate in the Summer Olympics, too, since I'm pretty sure that all of the experience he has with wrestling polar bears would have put him in medal contention for Greco-Roman.
