I really dont rant enough. Anyways today's rant is about Microsoft office 2007.

I really dont like it. If you havent seen it yet, allmost half the screen (in any office program) is taken up by this fancy shmancy toolbar that really doesnt do much more that previous years' editions. It's all shiny and embosse and cool looking, but MS is missing the point. The reason I liked the previous Offices is because they are pretty easy to use, not because they look fancy. Even the bacroung behind the document is all glass-like and flowing and fancy. That's not as bad as the toolbar, but hey, might as well point it out. Oh yeah, and they replaced the "File" button at the top. Now its a HUGE, circular, smooth, shiny, button that has the MS Office on it. Click it and you'll get all the same options as the file button had but on something that looks a whole lot like a mini version Mac's Finder. (except, of cource, it's all fancy ) It's just really annoying. I have A feeling there's a way to downsize the toolbar but I sure havent found it yet. Anyways, like I said before, the point of good work programs like the contents of office are designed to make good presentations and so forth, not to look fancy shmancy.

Edit: Oh, wait, I remembered another thing Word 2007's documents are .docx files so any schoolwork that my teachers give me (they all have office '07, I have office mac) has to be sent through this file converter thing. Yeah. really annoying.
