It really depends on how dire the computer situation is. If you need a new computer then you should definitely get a new computer. However, if you're satisfied with your computer at the moment, then I'd say go for the guitar. I would also recommend selling your old guitar, but I completely understand the packrat thing. I'm the exact same way. I've got two decent guitars and 2 1/2 total junk guitars. I could sell a couple to get a really nice one, but I just can't justify spending $1000+ on a guitar. which doesn't make sense seeing as I can justify buying 2 $400+ guitars. Ok. That got totally off topic. To summarize, buy the guitar unless you really need a new computer. You seem like you take your music very seriously.

It's just not the same now. It'd be like seeing Queen or Alice in Chains or Nirvana. Or, in for something I have personal experience of, seeing Blue Öyster Cult +1 Go see B.B.

I hate posting in old entries, but whatever. Anyways. I'm the same way. I can write a melody for lyrics, but I can't write the actual lyrics to save my life. I ended up recording an additional guitar track playing the melody that would normally be sung. That's worked really well for me, but like all musical techniques, it all depends on the musician.

Definitely tickets. You can get a computer whenever. An opportunity like seeing B.B King doesn't come around too often.

I went to see shine a light (The Rolling Stones' concert movie.) Yesterday. Aside from the fact that the stones are all really old, it was amazing. A must see for any rock and roll fan. -Odarca

So a couple days ago my GH3 Kramer controller stopped working. This was the second one that had gone bad, so I was pretty annoyed. Plus, it would be $60 to replace. So anyways, today I was taking it apart for fun. I just unsrewed everything, and drilled a bigger hole so I could get at the screw behind the "Warranty void if removed" sticker. I untangled the ribbon cable in the neck too. Then I put it back together, and it actually worked! So I'm happy. Sadly, I couldn't fix the other broken one. Frag On -Odarca
