Foreshortening = I don't even know what the word means. But if I did, I'm sure it would annoy me.

It looks alright when you look at it for a moment, but then when you scrutinized it, poke it, and imitate the same gesture with a bathroom mirror... then there might be something wrong with it.

IMO, I think you need to rotate the hand a bit, I think.

Foreshortening is somewhat like perspective.

honestly, what you have so far makes him look like he's dancing. I think the left arm was better down. But that's just me.

Anyway... onto the pic--if he's going to hold his fire sword you're going to want to rotate his hand like BD said... otherwise it'll cross into his face... =P

Tahu's arm i believe is good, but I think his hand needs to be a little bigger =)

My advice:

His posing is a bit awkward. His footing his off. Put front foot more out forward so it looks like he inst leaning againts the wall. Also try seeing how the end of the arm works higher or lower.

I've noticed the leg already and tried to fix the arm as best I can... this is really not a very up-to-date screenshot...

I've redrawn the hand, modelled off of two photos of my own hand... it looks a bit better... and yeah, evil Tahu is apparently a pretty common idea
