Less Than A Week!

Queen of Noise

Our production of Tartuffe debuts next week. It is going to be amazing. The entire cast is stellar (Kevin, who plays the title role, will especially rake in laughs with his character's utter affectation); I think we're really bringing to life a wonderful rendition of this classic, brilliant satire. We've been practicing for months in preparation for the four nights of show--we'll be in dress rehearsals every night this week, too, right up to the show itself!

We'll be putting the show on four nights in two weeks:

Friday, October 26th at 8:00 PM
Saturday, October 27th at 8:00 PM
Friday, November 2nd at 8:00 PM
Saturday, November 3rd at 8:00 PM

Admission is free.

The performances will be in John's Auditorium at Hampden-Sydney College, which is right next to Farmville, Virginia. I encourage anyone who has the means--if you're in the area or whatnot--to come see the play. You won't be disappointed! Drop me a PM or an e-mail (McSmeagol@gmail.com) for directions.

And B6. You should totally drive down and hang out. You can own me at Gears of War on my friend's 360. ;P

Admission is free? Then how do you make money?

Personally, I'd be really interested in going to see a free play like that, but the costs of making it to Virginia would probably be a bit too much. So just make sure to blog about how well it goes. :P

Yeah, practicing four months for only four nights... well, I hope you're in every night and it's not double casted. Break a leg... or whatever, and have fun.

We don't! Such is our love of and dedication to theatre; we do this without even being paid.

But if admission is free, the plane tickets aren't as bad! :P

Yep. it's the same cast for every night. We actually don't even have understudies, so if one of us takes ill, he'll have to suck it up (I once played one of the largest roles in a production for two nights in a row with a >100 degree fever. You manage to learn to, somehow, suppress the sickness when you're an actor. Orange juice helps.).

Thanks for the warm wishes! :D

I'll be there!

As a creepy-floaty-spirit-thingy, but I'll be there nonetheless.

Oh, and I'll be invisible.

And I won't remember anything.

BUT I'LL BE THERE.

I love Tartuffe. I wish I could be there- good luck in your performances.

I got the lead in The Music Man, which will premiere in April. Maybe you can come to that ^_^ ...
