Nap Day
That's what Burg called today: a day to stay home and take naps. No housework.
What? It's been raining since 7 AM!
No hijinks about it: this was the press release emailed to me....
Digital Engineering & Imaging, Inc. is pleased to announce to the staff that the firm has successfully concluded negotiating a $50 million dollar indefinite delivery multidisciplinary service contract on behalf of the Hurricane Protection Alliance Joint-Venture, LLC (HPA) with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District in which the firm is a 25% partner.
Our firm was designated the lead firm by the joint-venture partners of Hartman Engineers, Inc., AIMS Group, and CSI, to both prepare and negotiate the very complicated agreement. In making the announcement, the firm’s CEO Jimmie Martinez stated that “It is a great honor that the other joint venture engineering team members recognizes the ability of our firm to be the public face of the joint-venture with the Corp. It demonstrates that the firm and its employees have the technical respect of other engineering firms we work with. On behalf of DEII’s leadership, we extend our congratulations to Tom Hickey and his team who worked to secure this agreement.”
Because of the size of the fee, this contract has the potential of being the most significant contract of any that DEII has won in its seventeen year history. Executive Vice-President Tom Hickey, who lead the firm’s effort to review and negotiate the agreement, states, “This contract is an important milestone in the strategic growth of our firm. I would like to thank all those involved in preparing this very complex proposal and assisting in the negotiation of the contract.”
As further information becomes available on task orders assigned, the firm will issue further notices.
Yes, that's $50,000,000.00
Maybe I'll get assigned to some of it...maybe I'll end up on just SCIP duty at the parish. :/
