Yes, due to the request of several people, I will be holding an MOC contest (BBC style) in my blog. I'm also wanting to do this because there is no BBC Contest this month. I will also be entering this contest, but I haven't gotten a head start on my MOC or anything like that (I'm still not sure what to do), so it's not like I'm cheating.

 

Theme

 

I'm sure it's been done before, but I like the idea; so the theme of this contest is: Self MOCs! That's right, you need to make a self MOC to enter in this contest. Make yourself as a Toa, Dark Hunter, Mutant freak, Rahi, or whatever! The only catch is that the MOC has to be at least 25% custom. This could be by using system parts, or BIONICLE parts, but it needs to be somewhat custom. Also, a limit to system parts will be in place as well, say no more than half of the MOC can be system parts.

 

Entry times

 

Entries can be sent in starting now, and will be accepted until 12 o'clock noon (central time), December 21, 2007.

 

Entry, Voting, etc.

 

Only one entry pic can be entered, but you can create a topic in the BBC forum with as many pics as you like. When you enter, place a comment in this blog entry with the following:

Entry Topic URL:

 

Preliminary Voting will begin in a pair of topics I post here on December 26, 2007, and will continue until December 31, 2007 at 11:59:59 PM (Central Time). Any votes after that time in those topics will not be counted.

 

Final Voting will begin with the top three entries of each Preliminary topic when I post them together on January 1, 2008. Final Voting will go until 12 noon on January 4, 2008 (Central Time). Winners and their prizes will be announced shortly after.

 

You can make banners promoting your entry if you like, just be sure not to break any BZPower rules or guidelines. No, my Banner Shop will not make banners for your entries :P.

 

Questions and comments about this contest can be placed here (please don't PM them to me).

Wow yet another blog contest! Ill try to enter something, I have a Self MoC allready I have been meaning to make a new version though.

So this is like a normal BBC except hosted in the Blog forum and by someone who is not a FL. Cool, I can't wait till mines ready. Besides I still have 7 weeks of holidays.

I'll atleast try, I have school projects, PBZPS and more...I'm kinda clumped until Winter break, which is in two weeks...and the end time of the contest.

Wow, that's pretty awesome CzaR! You just totally demolished my idea for mine. I see I'm going to have to try my hardest to match your skill.

I hope you're able to get one entered in! You're a great MOCer too, but if you aren't able to, there'll be other contests that I'll host too.

Why would you have to go outside to take pictures? :blink: :P I guess you can enter an already made MOC, but that kinda takes the fun out of it, don't you think?

That's impressive. It seems like you didn't have too much trouble with the body. I'm having some big issues with the body on my entry.

'Cause inside you have to turn on lights to take pictures, and it makes this funny shadow thing, outside sunlight doesn't.

Ah, I see. Perhaps a suggestion... place a light to the left of the MOC, and a light to the right of the MOC. That way, all shadows are eliminated.

ok well i've alredy had my self moc built for some time now, and had no use for him (i was goign to post him in my epic-mocs thread... but tnever got around to posting it, and i won't post that topic till i have atleast 20 chapters.... so without further ado!!!

i am quite proud of it's near 100% customablility, the only thing uncustom is the right hand and weapon.... and the metru head holding on the custom mask! so enjoy... and BRING IT ON!!!! (i do acnoweldge that Czar's entry will probably not only blow mine out of the water, but out of this known dimesion)

Wow, that's really good. I'm almost done with mine, and I doubt that it's gonna turn out as good as that one. I have issues when I make custom bodies, and I'm still having trouble with the one on mine.

thanks... if your having trouble with custom bodies, the way i built that one was like a grame, then i added all the things onto it... so just use a whole bunch of lift arms, axels, and the like first, then add the armor on last... good luck to all!
