Yeah, I know how you feel about wanting to be ready for the license. That's why I didn't have the driver's manual memorized by the time I was 15 and 3 months to get my driver's education permit. But then I did go for it, but it was too late to enroll in driver's ed, and the state won't accept out-of-state driver's ed programs. So that stinks, as seeing how I'm homeschooled. BUT when I turn 16, I can get a learner's permit, and just skip any and all driver's ed courses. And then once I get a learner's permit, I can take the test and get a probational operator's license. Then when I turn 18 I can get an operator's license.

Wow, that looks like a nice car there you want. I'll probably wind up driving our 16-or-so-year old van, complete with rust on the roof, slowly disappearing paint on the hood, and tacky letters on the windows. Yup. Impressive it is not. Not to mention that I don't know if I'll have a job this summer, because I was banking on the bookstore, but they just hired two more people. Nuts. However, I have helped out a lot there, and I am on good terms with the employees there, especially the manager, so I've got that in my favor. And even if I did get the job, I'd still be saving for college, not a car, most likely.
