Preparing For Snow

Ok. Last night it snowed, a lot. It started well before I went to work at 4:30 PM, yet when I was done at 10:00 PM, there were still NO plows out and no salters. Let's just say the roads were dangerous, and not a thing was done to prepare. There were plenty of accidents due to the dangerous conditions. (I wasn't a part of any, but I did see a few.)

We had at least 10" of snow near me. Where were the plows? Why was no one ready? Know not, do I.

And if you think they don't usually prepare, I'll say they do prepare. Last week they prepared. They prepared a lot, and we only got at the most 1".

My dad said that even the City of Milwaukee had nothing done last night. The news said that they had to but snowplows on garbage trucks. Normally that wouldn't be done. Normally once it starts snowing plows are out. Not last night.

The lack of preparation is frustrating, as I can only imagine the amount of accidents. Of course I'm not going to blame the accidents on the lack of preparation, that is a factor, but it isn't the main reason. Seriously, drive safe in the snow. DON'T SPEED! Drive carefully. People didn't do that, and they had accidents. A few of the accidents I saw, you could tell they were speeding and lost control. Seriously, drive safe.

Even in perfect conditions, drive safe.

Why people don't drive carefully, I have no idea. Do it, and you are less likely to get in an accident. Everyone is happy!
