Greetings From Flordia!

hi everyone! it's currently 7:30 over here in flordia and i just came from a long soak in the hotel hot tub. i guess i forgot to mention why i am even here in my last entry.

well, me and my mom have come over to go on a focus on the family mother-daughter cruise. so much has happen in the last oh, 36 hours, so prepare for a long-winded speech.

we arrived in flordia at about 9 in the morning florida time, and we left my home state (i'm not leaving tracks) at about 7 in pacific time, and caught a plane down to LA, then flew for four hours to atlanta, then caught a one hour flight to jacksonville. thankfully, all of our luggage stayed with us, so we were able to get to the hotel fast. we called the hotel shuttle to pick us up, and we drove the one to two blocks to the hotel. mom checked us in, and found out some information. apparently, at least ten other mother-daughter pairs are staying in this hotel that are going on the cruise. mom wants to see if we can pair up with some of them and catch a taxi together.

anyway, once we got to our room, mom crashed onto the bed and fell asleep. suprisingly, i was not tired, so i sat by the window and read a book, which is not a suprise. later, mom woke up, and i climbed into bed and fell asleep. once we were both rested, we went out to go shopping. we took the shuttle to a nearby mall, which has a ross, michaels, wal-mart, and the best part, cold stone creamary. we stopped at wal-mart after a lunch stop at chili's and we bought some nessicary supplies, like a swimsuit. after that,we went over to ROSS and did some shopping there. i found a really cute blue dress, and mom found a lot of clothes she liked. coming out with our bags heavier and our wallets lighter, we went to a place i want to go again: the cold stone creamery. i ordered a cookie dough ice cream, and watched as they mixed some ingredients together right before my eyes! it was cool, literaly. the ice cream was really good, too.

coming back from our shopping trip, i tested the water in the pool. it was cold, but the hot tub was nice and hot, so i purswaded mom to come out with me while the wind was still warm. we were joined by two girls who are also going on the cruise, and we had fun. we were joined later by their mom and thier little sister. you will not belive what we did next. all three of us girls got out of the hot tub and jumped into the freezing cold pool! after that, we climbed back out and got back in the hot tub. in there, we talked aobut schools, movies, snow levels, etc. after a couple more dips in the pool, mom and i came back inside, so that i could update you all on what i have been doing in almost-paridise. tomorrow we get on the ship and start an adventure!

i hope i did not bore you all with my long winded speech (glances at audience, which is fast asleep) but i will use this blog to remember all the cool things on this vacation.

good night, and Carpae Diem!
