Not Just Another Moc Contest....

So I have been thinking of hosting my own Blog MoC contest lately, I always wanted to do one and my time being a premier member is running out!

Something I rarely see anymore in the BBC forum is well done LARGER scale MoCs. They seem to be one in a million anymore. This entry is not the official announcement of the contest, but I want to see how many serious MoCists here would be interested. There will be some nice prizes, including some collectables (Kanohi, Kanoka, etc) for the 1st and 2nd place winners.

Basically the rules are simple, the MoC must stand at least 16 inches tall and you must have a picture with a precise measurement of it. Also it must consist of no less than 200 (Estimated) pieces, you do not have to submit an exact piece count but I will be looking very closely at all the entries. You can only have ONE MoC for your entry, no cut/painted parts or non lego parts are allowed. You may edit your entry picture but you must also have a full gallery of the MoC available to view also. If by the contest deadline we have no more than 8 contest entries, then I might extend the deadline, or cancel the contest as my premier memberhship might run out before then.

Feel free to ask questions and give feedback, I want this to be a popular and good sized contest, as the prizes will be just as good. If I can get enough people interested, Ill make an official banner and the contest will begin.

I think I'd try to enter. I already have a contest and a challenge that I want to enter, but I'll see what I can do.

Ive got a hydra but its got 250 pieces, guess Ill have to tear some of it down

He said no less. You can have more.

could it have more than 200 pieces?

The point of the contest is to build something with more than 200 pieces.

And Czar, 16 inches is awful large... my massive Black Fantasy is hardly that big.

There IS no signoff!

Yes you can have as many pieces as you want but the bare minimum is an estimated 200. 16 inches is the limit, I want some time and effort put into these entries, maybe you can give it a long tail? It seems we have some intrested builders, excellent! Expect to see the official contest entry topic soon.

Oh boy, that's big. Now if I'm allowed to enter I'll definitely try, but I do hope that there is a long time period to work on entries, I'm not that great at titan sizes at all yet.

Though if I could make something better than my Makaru MOC I think I'll do just fine.

Now what to make...

EDIT:

I believe that your blog deserves one of these...

I have the perfect idea! 21" when I'm done.

Hopefully you can get a topic up soon, so it won't run into the next BBC that may come in March.

One question CzaR. Mine has a really long tail and wings. It doesn't stand on the tail but can the dimensions be from tail to wings?
