Greetings From Half Moon Cay!

Ha! Made you look! I am going to get two blog posts in one day! I think.

Today was really fun, and really educational. Like don’t stay up till 1:00 in the morning if you arrive in the next port in 8 hours. I honestly tried to go to bed earlier, but something was making a lot of noise.

Anyway, we arrived in half moon cay, which I belive is carnival’s pivate island. We waited a bit, had some breakfast, then lined up to go to the island, as there was no real port for the celebration, we had to go in via miniature boats, which had two levels. Mom and I looked around a bit, then got on the tram four our second excursion: horseback riding. We had a total blast doing this, and we had some laughs too. All of our horses were excellent but mom’s horse had one little problem; she wasn’t on it. It took off without her and began walking around the ring with the rest of us. I could not help but laugh. The assistant got mom another horse, and we went on a trail to the highest point on the island, which was not very high. After getting back to the ranch, we exchanged our horses for the ones we would take into the water.

Oh how we splashed and swam in the water! I have never experienced anything like it, and I don’t think I ever will. We came into shore and cimbed back onto the tram (minus the horses) and went to lunch. There were live chickens and roosters walking around in the lunch pavilions! It’s a good thing they were not aggressive, or my instructer would be laughing his had off when he learned I first used self defense against a chicken!

After lunch we went down to the beach and splashed in the waves. There was a string of small bouys, like the ones they have in pools, to keep people from going to far out. I there were large plastic things floating around, like a plastic (not inflatable) shark, a couple of inflatable slides, and a water trampoline! I swam towards the shark and attemped to climb on, key word being attemped. I finaly got on, only to fall off again! After that I swam to the inflatable slides and climbed on, and slid off. I met mom, and we both climbed on the trampoline, where everyone was lounging around, instead of jumping.

It was a few minutes later I saw one of the funniest sights I ever saw. Mom noticed a sting ray gliding under the trampoline. We all came to the edge to watch it glide around. It began to go towards the shore so we shouted ‘sting ray!” to ward the others in the water about it. Immediately six girls screamed (wonder if they were teal badges) and swam for the nearest inflatable, and wouldn’t come off until the lifeguard came over and confirmed it had gone away. After that, mom and I swam back to shore, where we played in the sand, took pictures of us (namely me) in the hammocks, then headed back to the docks to catch a boat back to the ship. After that, we wandered around the ship until now, while mom looks at printed out pictues and I finish up this blog entry. There would be more, but we have not had our evening event yet, and that is usually very interesting.

Well, the ship's swaying pretty good, and I am beginning to feel dizzy. Unitl next time guys, audios! (for real this time)
