Lock-down!

Have any of you ever gotten to the school and it's locked down? It's certainly interesting, and (when a teacher comes to whisk you out of the hall) a really boring 1.5 hours. Plus, it also means you don't get to see anyone but the teacher and people coming from the outside for the 7th-hour class. That was Tuesday though. I've seen a certain important person since then (as NuGuess participants may have guessed).

Usually I wouldn't do two entries in one day, but this is tomorrow's.

Was it scary? This sounds like it wasn't a drill.

I hope you liked the people you were stuck with. I probably would have been with people I don't care to talk with.

Eh, they were just doing drug & firearm searches, so it wasn't really scary.

Actually, I had arrived a few minutes after they had locked it down, so I was stick with only the teacher. Except for the last 20 min, when two 7th-hour people arrived from the outside.

My closest friend was busted in the fourth semester my senior year for drugs (Something I'll admit to being a part in, but nothing too extreme... Some stuff is just WAYYY too stupid...)

We also had a lockdown that year for a possible violent criminal with no legal right to his kid threatening to come in with a gun to take his kid out... Scary stuff...

We had a lockdown when there was a murder a few blacks away. The murderer wasn't like going crazy or anything, he just shot his girlfriend. It was still scary though...

I'm homeschooled, but there was recently a lockdown at a school three miles away. Gun scare, ended in a suicide. :( It's really sad when that kind of things happens.

Well, I was in a different school, but last year my high school had a mercury spill and they locked it down for 4 hours.

I've had several lock-downs for mountain lions on campus but never for any criminal activity.

That sounds like something that would happen a lot here, but I've never head of such.
