Things I miss/Hate/want to see more/less of...

Miss:

Mata colors: They seem to have abandoned them all together. Now, Brown wasn't selling, so they scrapped it. Understandable. But, had they just packaged it with a good supporting color (Mata Red, Gold, possibly orange, or even Keetorange...), it could have lasted. God what I wouldn't give for a toa team in the old colors...

Metru Torsos: Dunno why. I liked them, and would like to see them in some old/new colors (Lookin at you Keetorange and Mata Red...)

Mask Packs: New masks in old colors/new colors and old masks in new colors? Yes please!

Mass Piece sales: Anyone remember the Onu-Metru Archive tub of pieces? A few more of those type things would be nice.

Gear Functions/Functions in general: In my opinion Pohatu Phantoka is a poor attempt to relaunch gear functions... I got him for the function, and was pretty dissapointed... Plus his thin little claws bugged the heck out of me...

Turaga: They're important to the story! C'Mon!

HATE!:

SILVER!: Over the years silver has been used more and more making sets looks gaudy. And the total absense of gold disturbs me... If they'd just make armor in old colors, y'know, like the actual color of the set, It would work just fine.

Piraka Torsos: Big, Clunky, and all around Gaudy. The only redeeming quality is the wide variety of colors they come in.

Inika Torsos: See above...

Cloning: Don't think they still clone? Take all the fancy stuff off of your Inika, Your Mahri (Except for three of them, Matoro, Hewkii, and Kongu), and your Phantoka toa (Except Pohatu, who is cloned off of Kongu Mahri).

Projectiles: Alright, the Midak are enough! Give us some actual COLLECTABLES! Back to mask packs...

God it feels good to vent...

I miss the Mata colours too. Lewa was a nice shade of Bright green and Gali was a nice shade of blue!...everything seems to have gotten darker with the storyline.

I agree more Mata colors might be nice, though a universal change amongst a Toa team might not be worthwhile, and I realized yesterday how pathetic tan would look on any modern set, let alone any modern part.

Metru torsos... meh. I prefer the Inika and Piraka torsos that offer better potential in both sets and MOCs. Nevertheless, the Toa Metru torso is one of my favorite parts to draw in my HSB.

Mask packs? YES. I would love some more mask packs, though I am not sure when or if we can expect to see them.

Tubs are indeed missed. Imagine what I could accomplish with a greater abundance of parts from '06 and '07. Wootness.

Pohatu was pretty disappointing in terms of function. I had expected something more complex, such as instant conversion to propellor form when you pull back on the rod in back. The worst thing about it is that they don't work as drills at all, since the slightest spin will open them up into propellor mode. I miss some gear functions, though the greater poseability of the modern sets is not something I would wish to sacrifice. Speaking of which, I need to rebuild that Toa Metru Kaita... that thing was spiffeh.

Please come back, Turaga! Dume was a really pathetic attempt, IMO.

As for the hates...

Silver used to annoy me back in the days when it was supposed to be Nuva-exclusive. Nowadays it doesn't see too much excess, though I wish the Mistika had bley like their teammates rather than all that silver. If I revamp them, you can bet the excess silver will be the first to go.

I actually love Piraka torsos; they have some of the best use of pistons on any part. However, they are incredibly irritating to draw and far too often used on their own rather than creatively as they were in the 2006 Titans. The fact that Tahu Mistika has a Piraka torso is fine IMO, but the fact that Gali has the same minus the awesomeness of the jets is disappointing after the different-armor-for-each Phantoka.

Inika torsos-- Nowhere near as awesome, but they have their uses.

Cloning-- Meh. We've never had a story book with more than one torso piece for Toa; I'm grateful for the three we've been given for 2006-2008. Anyway, I don't care so much about what is used but how it is used, and creative uses such as Jaller Mahri's armor or beautiful uses such as Kopaka's Inika armor used in conjunction with Piraka legs are welcome in my eyes.

Projectiles haven't annoyed me much (though the excessive Zamor launchers in 2007 BIONICLE and Exo-Force were irritating and not welcome in any of their uses). I love the Midak Skyblasters, the Tridax pods are amazing, and the Cordaks didn't disappoint. Still, the Nynrah may be taking things a bit too far (why even make new projectiles when there are two perfectly good ones already this year?), and I expect that if I revamp the Nuva Mistika they will have Skyblasters. If it works for the vehicle sets, it'll work for them.

Collectibles, of course, will be welcomed if they return, but I haven't much of a budget for collectibles and doubt I will take any more advantage of them than I did of the mask packs, unless I need to seek out one that I desperately want.

I'd personally like to see at least one set with a mix of Mata and Metru colors. It looks cool... TRY IT!

I agree with everything else, but mask packs are number uno for me....

Hakann and Gadunka both featured mixes of Mata and Metru colors.

I agree, mask packs should definatly come back. I also wouldn't mind the return of brown.

Or turn both blades in the same sideways direction.

Because Tridax don't do well on ground, and Midak are anti-Makuta weapons.

Unless the Makuta built up and explosive pressure in their chest and blasted them at the toa...

Though that'd be pretty disturbing... I like the idea...

What about a way of rolling them into obstacles? I think that would be somewhat awesome, though it might seem sort of pathetic against the tall foes they face. Maybe a catapult? Anyway, we still have Makuta Mistika, right? I can't figure why Midak Skyblasters wouldn't work for the Nuva Mistika.
