mercenary vahki Posted March 14, 2008 *Agreement* And I would've picked Ascendant Justice or Sublime Transcendence for the title, just for obscurity's sake. Quote Link to comment
Bundalings Posted March 14, 2008 Probably true, though the story degrades in Halo 3. Becomes much more... pointless. It's like your fighting for fightings sake most of the time. Halo 2 roxorz. BtB Quote Link to comment

Halo 2 roxorz. BtB I dunno. I rather liked Halo 3's story. Hooray for video "walkthroughs", which are just thinly disguised tv series. Also, EPIC 'HOG RUN. ~D Quote Link to comment
Bundalings Posted March 14, 2008 The hog run was fun... but I mean... I've done it before. I liked CE's more too, because I prefer a time limit to SPLODING FLOOR TILES OF DOOM! The story was alright, it just wasn't as detailed and involved. BtB Quote Link to comment

cags//cunninghat/2x2b Posted March 14, 2008 Hoorah for checkpoint saving on Halo PC! BtB Don't all the Halo games have checkpoint saving? In the process of obtaining Halo 2 right now. ~D Quote Link to comment
Bundalings Posted March 14, 2008 Not on the Xbox they don't. Oh no wait, we misunderstand one another. I meant you can save a checkpoint on The Maw, and then go play The Pillar of Autumn, and then go back to the checkpoint you saved on The Maw. You can only do that on PC. BtB I'm surprised that "damnation" Cortana quote isn't word filter'd. Quote Link to comment

Bundalings Posted March 14, 2008 All Cortana quotes are awesome, at least when taken out of context. Some of the Cortana blips in Halo 3 are silly. >> << My favorite is the secret terminal one. I don't know why. >> << It kinda sounds like she's about to throw up when she says "I'm sorry, I can't." >> << >>> <<< BtB Quote Link to comment
Zonis Posted March 15, 2008 I like star Wars better, but that Doesn't stop Halo from being awesome. One of the few reasons I'd want an Xbox. Quote Link to comment
Torhuki Posted March 17, 2008 The Star Wars plot is way more extensive and interesting, but Halo has better games. Probably 'cause that's what they're all about. Plus SW music is better. I'm listening to Episode VI right now. But in Halo 3, half the time I didn't know what I was doing. There were some good fights that took place, though. Ah well. SW is just a hair better I guess. ~Torhuki Quote Link to comment

Yes, and it's not too bad, but Jacen is another one of those whiny characters that SW seems to spawn in unusual numbers, and it is beginning to irritate me. ~D Quote Link to comment
Torhuki Posted March 17, 2008 Yeah, he's not that great, but I like the plot overall. I just got Revelation. I haven't read it yet, but I can tell it's going to be good. ~Torhuki Quote Link to comment

Primis Posted April 11, 2008 Halo > Dune > Dune Ripoff Star Wars Anybody that disagrees with that "Dune Ripoff" comment should read this. Quote Link to comment
Wrinkledlion X Posted April 11, 2008 You know what's better than both? Foundation. Let me give you one fact that proves Star Wars is a ripoff of it: In Foundation, the capital of the Galactic Empire is a planet known as Trantor which is covered entirely by one gigantic city. Yeah, that's it. Quote Link to comment
Primis Posted April 11, 2008 But that idea has been used in dozens of sci-fi stories, and even if George Lucas did steal it from Isaac Asimov specifically, it's only one aspect; The entire plot and all the characters are the same as Dune. Read that site I linked to. Quote Link to comment
