What Did I See?!

I was driving home from the movies maybe twenty minutes ago when I saw an enormous burst of blue light emanating from the ground in the distance. It lit up the entire mountain for a split second! The sky was glowing like a single flash of a strobe light!

We think it may have been a fairly large meteorite, because there was no thunder or other signs of lightning, but complicating the matter is the bizarre weather we've been having today... We had about a minute of heavy hail earlier today when it was still warm and sunny out.

We looked up possible atmospheric disturbances (ie: Ball Lightning) that could cause this, but none fit what happened...

No, not Saint Elmo's fire. This flash went around for miles.

I have my doubts about Mothman, as well, but Bigfoot is a very distinct possibility. Perhaps he exudes this light as a natural defense to ensure that all photos of him are too blurry to make out?

Dude, It was a flock of Ropen, the pteridactyl-like cryptids that are said to be bioluminescent...

Oh yeah... forgot about those. I do believe they live in South America though... more likely Bigfoot or CHUPACABRAs.

BTW, I believe in all these things. But Chupacabras are just silly dogs.

IT HAD to be aliens, guys. What else? :D

~Doctor! Doctor!

Nope, it was chupacabras or bigfoot. We're decided on that.

And aliens aren't even cryptids... therefore they are unimportant.

Okay then...

It was Bigfoot being beamed up by Plutonians.

The one killed by Cthulhu was a mere decoy.

It's Bigfoot. This... Was already established.

No, I'm pretty sure it was a chupacabra or a Sky Critter. Or Skunk Ape. More likely Skunk Ape than bigfoot. You know, all that stench may glow.
