This episode was long, most likely thanks to how easily prolongued the interactions in this chapter could be. Makuta Krika has infected Takanuva with a powdery Makuta virus that allows him to fly at least temporarily. Flying over the protodermis seas in the direction pointed out by Krika, Takanuva comes upon Matoran Jala, Puku pulling an Ussal cart, Toa Bomonga, and Toa Kualus. The two Toa are riding Muaka. Instead of fighting the group outright for the Vahi they carry, Takanuva poses as a Toa on business of the Toa Empire. Jala mentions that Kodan the Chronicler has never made a record of a Toa named Takanuva. After a brief scuffle, Bomonga, who carries a seismic spear, and Kualus, who carries a sub-zero spear, allow Takanuva to join their party. In a humorous dialogue, Takanuva explains that he has defeated monsters such as Takutanuva, Graalok the Ash Bear, and the Kolhii Creature of Ga-Wahi. He claims he has been sent to protect the Vahi from the threat of someone named Brutaka. Bomonga, however, recognizes the name -- he is the one who killed him.

Predictions: This chapter perhaps explains where Takanuva gets his power to fly in Karda Nui. It's also possible that his size change is a side-effect of the flight virus. Now that Takanuva's justification for his presence -- Brutaka -- is dead, he's now going to have a hard time keeping up his act much longer.

A new Battle for Power game for Chirox was also posted on the Bionicle website about a week ago. The object of the game is to fly Chirox through a long cave so Kirop can blow up an escaping Av-Matoran up ahead. The player loses points by hitting other Makuta but gains points by destroying Toa Nuva.
