How do you feel about people who try to copy your MOC designs? Or how would you feel?

 

I hope no one ever stills my designs...

 

And no, this is not directed towards anyone. Unless you have seen something I have not? :o

 

P.S. I'm workin on somethin for those arms DV :P

My designs are so unique, no one can copy them. In case you haven't noticed, all my MOCs are completely different, even the torso.

I don't care, as long as they give credit. Also, there is no way to still my design anyways, it's what ZIP*-*ZAP*-ZILLA said, even my torsos are different

I love it when members still my designs. Having a design frozen in time is marvelous!

 

But if we're talking stealing, then I'm not such a big fan. And you'd best be workin' on those arms, young man! Or no dinner tonight!

Someone stole my Chibi Rahkshi design, (they denied it of course) and CzaR said someone posted my Temperance on Lego.com.

It's like a horrible sort of compliment...

"I like your MOC soooooo much, I'm gonna steal it and take credit for it! Isn't that great?"

Blargh.

The worst was when I saw CF's Sparaku as one of Lego's highlighted creations... and no, it wasn't him who posted it.

Ive had several times where I had a MoC ripped, or the design.

 

It is pretty annoying, however it also is a bit flattering, knowing it is your design and seeing someone else trying to pass it off as their own.

Well, I've used other peoples designs, but only if I'm doing on purpose.

 

Like my Solek MoC, I'm trying to make it similar to your Tanma.

 

Different body and legs though, hope that is alright.

It is pretty annoying, however it also is a bit flattering, knowing it is your design and seeing someone else trying to pass it off as their own.

 

It would be flattering to have you design used by someone else, well, a bit. If someone else uses a torso design or arm design, etc, it's not to bad, but i'm not exactly happy if they didn't give credit, especially if it's a weapon or some special design.

 

I'd be very angry if someone makes the exact same MOC i made, with mabye a few differences (Color, weaons, mask, etc) and, without credit, unless of course i made for example the Tuggles, i'd be okay of course if someone posts there own made Tuggle in my topic.

 

I had only 1 design, a uniqe sword, stolen before though, here on BZP, but, unfortunately, the topic was close so i couldn't post in the topic to remind him. he didn't give credit. :(

 

I, though, didn't have anymore (At lest i think) designs of mine stolen.

Hmm, you haven't noticed that a typical MOCer reuses the same designs over and over? I'm not that type of person.

Well, I once used a slightly modified Toa Xion body, but I haven't posted it, and if I were to, I'd be sure to give Seran credit. ;)
