You know, I wouldn't be surprised if in the next fews months BZP takes away the blogs.

Serious.

I mean, they do have the right, but they're making blogging less and less fun the longer we have them.

The only problem with them is that some people seem to think they're allowed to break basic but major rules of BZP in them. Which is a problem with the people doing so, not the blog system. :/

Right, that's point I was trying to make...but failed. :(

 

Anyways, I think that it could come to BZP deleting the blogs because they're being abused. ;)

I think one of the big draws of the blog privelage for those it was available to was that the blogs were far less uptight and impersonal than the massive forum BZP now is. People found it easier to relax and form relationships in the blogs. The metaphorical tightening of the belt had to come some time, but it came in a way that was very unexpected and very, very unwelcome, and I think a lot of the bitterness in the blogs today stems from that, as a reaction, intended or not. When people feel personally connected to something, they have the capability to be vicious and petty when it is interfered with, whether or not the interference is justified.
