Itunes & Music

Does anyone know how to convert the .m4p files that iTunes gives you into .mp3, .wma, .wav or SOMETHING I can put on my mp3 player? Right now I've been putting them onto CDs and ripping them with Windows Media Player to get them converted, which is lame and a CD waster.

I don't know if I should mention the site due to reviews and possibly forums, but I have a free converter which will convert the mpeg-4 files to mp3, wma, wav, that kind of thing.

Forum link removed.

Anyhow, it had good reviews, no spyware, and has been working perfectly for me. :)

You also get a CD ripper and audio cutter with the download, but I believe the ripper was only a thirty day trial, and since Windows Media can already rip disks, you probably won't need it. I believe you can chose not to install the ripper and cutter during installation.

Just a warning, you will probably get an internet toolbar with the program, which is rather annoying. It can be removed by unistalling the file in your Add/Remove Programs controls. :)

Edit: Whoops, sorry about that link. My bad.

Phy, you basically paraphrased the second sentence of the entry:

Thanks for the thought though. And yes, Apple can be annoying. But I think Windows could easily win that competition.
