Best...

11. Proportions: Tanma.

10. Mask: Lewa's.

9. Weapon: Lewa's.

8. New Piece: New hand-piece.

7. Color Scheme: Pohatu's.

6. Price to Piece Ratio: Icarax.

5. Design: Toa Ignika's skyboard.

4. Matoran: Tanma.

3. Canister: Lewa.

2. Titan: Toa Ignika.

1. Set: Lewa.

Dunno why there are eleven. This is my opinion, of course, or it wouldn't be my blog. :P

Needless to say, none of these sets are too great.

I actually agree with most of this. The modification I would make would be that Icarax would steal the Best Color Scheme award away from Pohatu.

I hate that new hand piece...
:o

I like it cuz it doesn't break. :D

O RLY!!1!!shift + 1!!

I've seen and heard of many of the new sockets break. Plus, they're weaker, so many of my sets that have the new sockets collapse when they're on display.

At least, from my experience. I also disagree with the new socket getting the new piece award. I think it should be, hmmm, Pohatu's arm-thing (the grey part).

But Vamprah is so unique and fun!

At least he isn't an Inika rehash... <_<

(really Bunda)

I know, like how Takanuva was a Nuva rehash, or Lhikan was a Metru rehash, or the Toa Hagah were Metru rehashes... Shall I go on?

At least the Inika rehashes which we get and which we are due until the story book ends express innovation. Lewa's upper arm construction, Pohatu's new arm construction (though technically he is a Kongu Mahri rehash, Kongu Mahri having been a blessing which we were in fact not due), Kopaka Phantoka's use of the stylistically fabulous Piraka leg/Jaller Inika torso combination, Jaller Mahri's multi-piece torso armor, the general use of system parts in the Mahri, Matoro Mahri's hunch... all of these are examples of innovation in canister sets, which I happen to appreciate.

Those were one-shot sets, not entire lines of six. When Takanuva was created, he obviously has to take the Toa design of the latest line of Toa, being the Nuva at the time, since TLC doesn't make entirely new Toa canister designs just for Titans and special editions. Same applies to Lhikan and the Hagah.

The Nuva and Mahri had semi-new designs. The Nuva had a brand-new leg pieces, new armor. It was pretty similar to the Mata, but different enough to make me want them. The Mahri had some new designs. Jaller and Matoro both used the Inika back in new ways, and Kongu had an entirely new design, which I liked except for two things: It was too thin, and I don't like it used on Kongu (but that's another can of worms).
