Well it's shaped like a cone and tapers, so it's more narrow at the bottom. :/

It was always V shaped. Lava cooled and formed Mahri Nui, which then broke off again and sank. Were it actually a part of Voya Nui, it would not have sunk, which is also why it was crushed when Voya Nui returned to the Mainland.

voya nui wasnt a huge chunk. ill try to find the map, but it was pretty small, like prob smaller than ta-metru or ta-koro.It was size of a village, not a huge cunk,not a prob for the hole.
