Yup. Hey, no one complained when the Mahri's masked changed drastically! Even if his mask looked nothing like a Hau, you nastolgia crazy people will still beat on LEGO for it. If it was a a Toa Inika changing to a Toa Mahri, you wouldn't complain at ALL! Even if you don't think that LEGO tried really hard and succeeded, at least the mask looks better. Like I've said numerous times, every single Nuva mask was utterly disgusting. Except maybe Kopaka's.

The Hau is the only mask that looks somewhat like it's old forms. Which makes it my favorite mistika nuva mask. I just don't get the fin. Is it a rudder? Does he steer with his head or something?

Ah, no. The other ones have similarities, too. But I can't point them out because I can't post in my blog.

Oh, and the fin is just there for the mask to be streamlined and look awesome.

I mean if you didn't have any pictures of the other Haus right next to it. If you didn't know that that mask belonged to Tahu and you didn't know it was a Hau and didn't have any pictures of previous Haus next to it, could you tell it was a Hau? I can't, and I really don't see how you could.

Okay, the difference between the Mahri's mask transformation and this is that the Mahri got new masks, which was I felt the Mahri masks should've evoked the Toa's personalities, not the former mask shapes, though it would be nice it if had. With the Nuva masks, they're the same masks, so I feel they should both evoke their Toa's personalities and bear sufficient similarities to the original.

I don't get your second line. Do you mean even if the mask was identical to a Hau?

And yes, the old '02 Nuva masks were awful. Too...organic. I was hoping these new masks would take the Nuva masks, take out the bad, and throw a few Mata features, like the Hau slashes.

I think the new Hau looks like a ninja mask with a fin on the top, not the Kanohi which symbolizes Bionicle.

This is Fail.

Just because it has similarities does not mean it's a Hau in Spirit OR DESIGN.

I couldn't care less if the Mistika look like some far fetched idea of their personalities, if they're crapfilled sets then that's that. There is absolutely no likeness whatsoever in the Mistaka to Nuva. >_>

Even if I pretend they aren't the Nuva and are just another Toa Team, the sets still suck. I don't get why the set designers don't understand that you don't only need the bare essentials kids want. What's so wrong with making a set that the target audience enjoys, AND have it be high quality?
