How to find what number member you are:

Find what page on the Members page you are.

Multiply the number of pages by twenty (Or however many members you have on a page)

Subtract from the above figure the number of members on your page that are listed after you.

Here's mine:

162

4240

4234.

See? You try!

(BTW: My original display name was "Snoopy82." On my page of the members page, there's a member named "Snoopy32." Scary, huh?)

I once calculated mine to be something like 3067th, which makes sence because I joined during the "3,000th member" celebration.

Your member ID number is different from the order in which you joined because it counts one for every time somebody tries to apply, but some people apply more than once for various reason, so the count is larger than the actual number of members. Or at least, that was the old school definition. I don't know if they've changed things around...

Apparently I'm the 1,753rd member. Which . . . just doesn't exactly sound right, since I do recall there being around 2000 or something when I joined. Or maybe there wasn't. Maybe I'm just poor at remembering things.
