I sent this several times a while ago.

Have you been too busy? If you'd like I can get other members to stop PMing you for a few days.

Sending this one again. :)

Hi. Just one suggestion today.

Now I know you don't like matching up MNOLG characters, but I thought this was actually a really good idea: In the game, as you walk towards Onu-Koro, there's a small hut with an Onu-Matoran who tends to the ussal crabs. He lives out there in Po-Wahi, one of the brightest areas in Mata Nui.

I was thinking that he might be Midak. He referred to the dark as "awful" at one point in his conversation with Takua and we know for a fact that Midak lived above ground. We also know that Midak befriended Pohatu, and the character in MNOLG did live in Po-Wahi...

So what do you think? I remember you canonized my idea about the Rahi Hordika on the Kumu Islets, which was a bigger stretch, anyways... Besides, I'd hate to let an interesting-sounding character like Midak go too undeveloped.

Also:

2. How did Comic 12.5 go?

3. Have you seen the latest Indiana Jones?

'Cause when Professor Oxley would covet the Crystal Skull to himself it reminded me a lot of Vezon and the Ignika. I was wondering if you had noticed...

3a. Also of note: Though the story itself wasn't very BIONICLE-ish, some of the ancient temples and landscapes, I thought, were very similar to what older fans have been wanting for some time. The whole "vine-covered, crumbling stone structures" is pretty cool... The temple with the sand reminded me of this old video.

1) I sent an answer on this a while ago - I said it was okay.

2) Not written yet, I have an emergency EU project that has to be done by 6/30

3) Haven't seen it yet, too busy

And the updated Wiki page.

This is absolutely awesome.

I do have one question, though: do you think his body and arms are black or dark grey? The feet have a distinctly darker main shade than the rest, which makes it look like he has dark grey arms, body, and mask, and black feet.

Ah, that's so awesome. Now the nameless dude from MNOLG has a name!

Lucky you to have two of your suggestions become canon.

Hoping you don't mind if I answer, dark grey. Although I would look at characters in MNOG who definitely have dark grey and/or black, like Whenua, whose mask we definitely know is dark grey, if you know what I mean.

>_<

Why?

We know that there is 1 Toa of Iron and 1 of Magnetism left alive.

I have the idea that the Toa in stasis in TSO's chamber is either one. This way, TSO would have a weapon against the Brotherhood should they ever be able to re-program him or something else. Or should the Makuta ever attack him or Odina, they could free him as a last resort to kill the Makuta or keep him busy.

I don't see any other reason why TSO would keep a Toa in stasis.

Your suggestion is actually a very good one -- but just FYI, my reasoning was it was a symbol of power for TSO, like a souvenir of battle.

I figured he likes his souvenirs dead.

Nah, think of the confidence it shows that he is not afraid to keep an imprisoned Toa alive.

In stasis.

Think of the Archivists who keep some of the most dangerous rahi alive imprisoned alive.

In stasis.

See where I'm going?

Nope

Even the matoran dare to keep rahi more dangerous than a Toa imprisoned alive. In stasis.

They can't break free of their own accord so they pose no real threat.

True, on the other hand, there is always the risk of something breaking the canister, which has happened more than once in Metru Nui.

I almost got that canonized. Almost. ;_;

Aye, that's a good way. Having compared the two by means of Photoshop, I can say with some certainty that Midak's mask, body, and arms are in fact dark grey. Their primary shade is exactly the same as that of Whenua's (dark grey) Ruru and arms, and their shadow shade is the same as on Whenua's shadowed dark grey areas. The only difference is that Whenua has an explicit highlight shade, since he's standing in a hut full of lightstones, while Midak has no highlight shade and only a primary shade.

Thus, I think we can safely say that Midak's mask is a dark grey Pakari, no? (I can produce a comparison picture if anyone wants one.)
