Seriously.

 

Yesterday, the best thing happened at Wal-mart.

 

I got to tear apart a PS3.

 

You just reread that sentence didn't you? I saw you.

 

I'm sure you are all wondering what is going on. Otherwise you wouldn't be reading.

 

I'll start from the beginning. Sometime last year a defective PS3 was returned to my store. This defective PS3 was used as the display model because for the most part it still worked fine and it did what it had to do.

 

Anyway, a few months ago it died completely, with a game still in it. So, due to it dieing my store would take the loss. Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction which is the only demo game we've used that I actually played... and it was fun. So we had a dead PS3 with a game still in it. What was one to do?

 

Then I came in and we had the morning meeting after which my department manager was starting to dismantle the PS3. So I found out what was going on and decided to help, besides I wanted to see what it looked like inside.

 

So we got to see various parts of it and I got to dismantle the Blu-ray, which also plays the games. It is really neat seeing how it all works.

 

Did you know that even though the Power is touch based there still is a button way under it? How unnecessary. That is why it is so expensive.

 

Of course, I suppose I should say even an Assistant Manager helped and he said something funny, "I feel like a child opening their Christmas presents."

 

So, if you have an extra PS3 around open it up. It is a ton of fun. :P

I would absolutely love that.

 

Especially considering I'm a Nintendo snob (Halo is almost an exception.).

I use mine for beating slow people in que lines, but sometime I might switch to a baseball bat, so I'll take your advice then.

I couldn't possibly open my PS3. It makes such a nice toaster.

Eeeeehhh... I'm more of a PS person, so I'd love to own an 80GB one. I mean, there aren't a lot of games for Wii that I'd enjoy, and PS3 has been getting more focus lately. Possible price cuts.

 

I'd seriously like to own all three, but if asked I'd choose PS3.

Speaking of PS3 toasters, I saw an awesome PS3 Moderator that turned one into a Gary Coleman grill.

And I'll only buy it for you if you play MGO. I need teammates that aren't utterly stupid and completely miss the point of MGO. :P

It's not a shooter, you're not supposed to play it as one....><
