I Hate Nintendo.

Yes, I hate Nintendo for making their Wi-Fi USB Connector SO RIDICULOUSLY HARD TO USE.

My DS refuses to connect to it. Anyone have any suggestions? Help?

Ugh.

(if you help me I will show you my pokemans)

Kongu: Uh, last I checked NSMB wasn't Wi-Fi...

Kex: Mesa heres to helps you!</jarjarbinks>

Ok, first things first, you've followed the instructions on setting it up, correct? if so, you should have been able to get onto the WF Connector part of the WFC menu, then, you've got your comp on, right?(:P) If you're getting any error codes, I can look them up for you...

Also, I don't think they're compatible with Vista, you don't have that, correct?

I use a Router, so I didn't have to go through all this, but I do know most of the instructions for it... Basic rules: It doesn't like firewalls.

You need your comp on while using it.

There's a special button for it.

You need it connected to the comp :P(Yes common knowledge, but meh XD)

And there are probably others I've forgotten but can be found in the manual

Yea, it's incompatible with Vista (like everythign else, it seems -_-). However, Nintendo released a patch to fix that.

No, I'm not using Vista.

And I know how to set it up. I've had it for almost a year now. It just refuses to connect.

I think I'm going to erase everything and just start over.

No, they work perfectly for me. Haven't had a prob since my DS wanted more info than I had a few months ago XD of course, I've been D/Ced a few times, but that's more lag/distance than the actual router...

Hmm, and you're not getting error codes? Try re-installing it I'd guess... *Shrugs*

I beg to differ. I use a wireless router for both my DS and PSP, and I experience little to no lag and a much stronger connection.

My advice to you, (as long as you have roadrunner) go out for about 40 bucks, buy yourself a good Linksys and sell that thing on craigslist. If you have everything that came with it you should about break even.

I just use a linksys router and I'm fine. The wi-fi connector works too.

The problem usually is actually on Nintendo's end with the Pokemon server. Everyone was having trouble like a month ago. It might still be spotty.

The Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector is hopeless.

I got my DS to connect to my router, and that's what I'm using now.

The Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector enables you to connect the Nintendo DS Lite to the Internet via a PC. You can use this to play Nintendo DS Lite games online that have been especially designed for Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

In order to use the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector the PC must use Windows XP (at least Service Pack 2) and have an active broadband Internet connection.

A driver CD is enclosed with the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector and can be used to install the relevant driver software onto the PC automatically.

Any Help?

I used Linksys, and now I use Netgear. Both work perfectly, full signal, no dropouts at all. None that I can remember, at least.
