Being, what, 17 years and 8 days old now, I better share briefly a small review on a certain set I received on the anniversary of my birth. That set being...
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Icarax brings the return of the Kraahkan. Unaltered! Combined with a large array of good pieces, albeit none new, although...are those two wing pieces on each side or is it new pieces entirely...anywho, overused colour scheme, but one everyone likes. Both sets still have the Tridax, those suckers...<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->Yes, I know everyone else probably has him now. Give me a break, I was really surprised to get him considering there wasn't anywhere near by I could possibly get him. Stupid TRU. Anyway.
The Kraahkan isn't completely unaltered. A couple of the holes on the front of his mask are filled slightly, but that's OK, because it's still unmistakeably the Kraahkan. As a note, I much prefer showing the Kraahkan face rather than the Makuta face with Icarax. The Makuta face looks much better on Teridax. I think it's to do with the head, you cannot make the Metru head look good like that. I'm quite surprised with the lack of thoughts I posted all those months ago, doesn't give me much to work on. The colour scheme is still great, and the Tridax looks good on him. He looks empty without it though, as in having only his ribcage, which is a step down from the Batkuta. Yes, definetly there are no pieces in Icarax that are exclusive to the set. Disappointing to some perhaps, but not for me because it included pieces I didn't have, which is good. A couple of gripes I have: he's very bottom heavy. As much as I like the legs, they just don't fit with the rest of the body, they're too bulky. If the body and arms were thicker, that would not only balance things out but make him look more like his Metru Nui counterpart in a way. His arms are just...bleh. Them and the weapons are not great for posing at all. The Hordika is particularily difficult. Pretty much the worst staff thing ever. I like the wings though (straight from Chirox), and they can be posed really well. Still, he certainly has a presense that is indescribable. A mighty, brutish presense, perhaps. So not that indescribable.
Right. Back to BZP full time I'm guessing by, lessay, July 29th. Savvy?
