Dark Knight And Graduation Party

First, I saw The Dark Knight Friday night, and it was awesome. A little long, but not too bad. Heath Ledger's Joker is beyond amazing. Not gonna compare to Jack Nicholson's, though, I find them too different. Best was the pencil trick, though. Go see it, if you can.

There's actually a couple things I want to blog about, including epic status, but not all at once, since I'm pretty tired. Yesterday afternoon I went to a graduation party for a friend. It was awesome. We had Rock Band playing pretty much the whole time (I didn't play, 'cause I suck, but I'm fine with it), and a bunch of really great songs to go with it. There was much shenanigans going on all day. It was the first time since graduation that I got to truly hang out with my friends, so I had a really good time.

One of the highlights was when we shook up a can of soda and tried to get a couple of people to open it. But alas, our reputations preceded us, and no one was gullible enough. Due to this, the can was tossed around the room a couple of times, to the point where it was almost shaking. So about six or seven of us went outside to the patio where he'd (the host) "open it". We all backed up, but he didn't tell us he would smash it on the pavement. When he did, the can exploded and ricocheted across the yard at someone's head. I guess sudden death can cause Matrix-esque moves, because he dropped to the ground right before it went through his skull. Even now as I type this I'm still laughing about it.

Another fun thing was that he happened to set up the food table under his smoke alarm, so as the food was cooking in those aluminum tray things, it would go off every once in a while. What made it really great was that every time it went off, someone was standing right near it trying to get food, temporarily deafening them.

And as much as I'd like to go into what happened when the host's girlfriend brought the whipped cream out, I'd probably get kicked off the site if I did. Hilarity ensued.

And of course, his mother (who has a wonderful sense of humor) brought out a cake with his kindergarten picture, so there was much poking fun at him over that. And one of the presents his girlfriend gave him, but again, probably not a good idea to bring that up here. :P

It was great fun with great friends, really. I'd love to get together again sometime before we all head out for college.
