Epic Status
Hey guys! I suppose you may be wondering about the status of the epic in which some people's Toa star (Hyperion, Nuhala, Sylea, and Kivu). I've hit a couple roadblocks here and there, but I've managed to push through them. At the moment, I've written through thirty-one pages double-spaced on OpenOffice and am about halfway through the fifth chapter. Doesn't seem like much, I know, but I've managed to go through two large battles and one small skirmish (the aftermath of which I posted here a while back as an excerpt). One of those battles is a nautical, Pirates of the Caribbean-inspired battle, so I hope you'll enjoy that.
Overall, I think this one is going to far surpass Eternal Darkness, if just for the reason that there's far more originality in it. This includes characters, the names of which I'm getting much better at: Daktis and Kolvak, for example. Plus a whole new organization heavily involved in the plot that wasn't really inspired by anything. And as of the beginning of Chapter 5, I'm starting to delve deeper into the Toa characters and the tension between them.
Oh, and I think you guys will like Turaga Torvu. But anyway, just thought I'd give you guys an update for those waiting for it, and to tell you that working with your Toa has been great fun, and I hope you'll enjoy how I've worked them into the story.
Anyway, I'm gonna see if I can finish up this chapter -- I would've earlier, but I promised my mother I'd go see WALL-E with her. Considering I'm all into Dark Knight, I had a hard time focusing, but it was a good flick.
