A 3 year old computer is NOT old. My parents' computer is more than 7 years old.

Planned obsolescence. It's all part of the corporate strategy: make a product that will be worthless in a short time and your customers will come back for a shiny new one. Windows is a magnet for problems. Without a comprehensive maintenance regimen, any Windows machine (especially one connected to the Internet) will be toast in a few years.

same thing happened to me, exept lightning and thunder instead of not turning on. bionicle heroes doesn't work with vista!nor the star wars games!
