Hmm, I don't know. I'm not too big on having borders on banners like that. It may work, but the banner has already been entered, so there's no changing it now.

If it had an outline, it would have had to have been a few affects back.

But yeah, a nice banner. Crazy font... :)

It looks like you applied quite a few affects to the banner, so if you wanted to outline it, it would have been best to do it near the beginning, so it wouldn't look out of place.

Ha, well, funny thing about that. I use a program called CorelDRAW Essentials 2 to make my banners, and the layout of that program is nothing like Photoshop. You see, in CorelDRAW, your "canvas" is actually a sheet of paper, because the main purpose of CorelDRAW is making full documents. All I have to do is make a blank image (or take several from the web) and make sure that their combined size isn't any larger than 468x60. I apply all the effects I want to the image(s), and then add text and apply all sorts of effects to the text. The best part of the program is that I can then click and drag the images/text wherever I want to, etc. If I finish the banner and want to change something, I just click on the background image and edit it as I want to. Adding an outline to this specific banner would take literally, 2 seconds to do. When I'm satisfied with my banner, I click and hold my mouse somewhere outside of the banner and drag the mouse across it, highlighting the different parts of it. Then, I right-click and select "Group". Finally, I click the "Export" button and save only the banner (and not the whole document) by clicking the checkmark that says "Selected Only". Ta-daaa, done!

The banner I entered into your contest consists of 1) The background images (there are 3 total), 2) The text that reads "Argetlam", and 3) The weird text in the background. That's it.

Needless to say, I love my image editing program. ^_^

Lol, I totally agree with you. My dad bought the program several years ago to help him with his job, but about 6 months ago, he bought a Mac and gave me his old PC (which has gamer's computer hardware, BTW), and along with it, I got all of his software. CorelDRAW was one of them. ^_^

*Wonders if I have a chance*

Do you think this is good?

No one likes my banners.

I'll lose, I can tell you that.

Well, I can tell you that making awesome banners takes lots of practice. I know of several members that can make banners better than I can, and it's because they've been at it longer. Your banner looks great! Sure, there are a few things that could be improved, but you learn those things with time. No matter what you say, you still have a good chance of winning that contest. :)
