Can you spot the difference between the original (Makuta) Kraahkan and the newer (Tower of Toa, Icarax) Kraahkan?

They removed the top two holes on the parts next to the "mouth".

 

Yes indeed! And as to why it was done, I have no idea? Maybe for collect-ability, or maybe the older Makuta needed to breathe more?

There was an outline of the hole (So basically the second mold) for the Taka-Gold Kraahkan in the Tower of Toa Playset and in the Brutaka-Gold Kraahkan in later versions of ToT, I think.

It makes no sense. Wouldn't it cost more, because there's more plastic to fill in? Or did the mould maybe get a little misshapen over the years, or what?
