A few weeks ago, I finished listening to Rolling Stone's 50 Greatest Albums of all Time. Yeah, it did take me a while, but hey, I got to listen to my music too, ya know?
The reason I got it in the first place was to educate me a bit of some of the most influential people and the like, because I don't have alot from those sort of people. So yeah.
Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised with a lot of it. Beatles were good, as most of you would expect. Still not my cup of tea, but hey, it's listenable. I really liked the Jazz stuff from John Coltrane and Miles Davis. Hotel California really surprised me, I have never EVER liked the Eagles, but this was quite good. Same applies to Thriller. Doors, Beach Boys and Velvet Underground were good too, and it was nice to hear some Bob Marley. Of course I liked Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd (I really need to get some post Dark Side of the Moon albums D= ), Sex Pistols, Clash, The Who, Jimi Hendrix and U2, cause they're just bands I've always liked. I'm not sure of the choices of albums for the Rolling Stones, and some of the artists were a big meh for me. A bit too much blues for me, I dunno. And I just cannot stand Bob Dylan at all. Not only do I not like him, I find his music annoying. Bleh?
But overall, quite a good listening experience. I'm glad I was able to borrow them for that amount of time. Yeah.
