First off, this song itself is awesome enough to deserve the spot as SoTD. The Edge's circular guitar work is as repetitive-in-a-good-way as ever, and Bono's voice chines through like a single street light after a power-outage as usual. If you want to truly be blown away by this one though, look up it's performance at the 2002 superbowl halftime show, keeping in mind that, being in early 2002, it wasn't even six months after 9/11.

 

Also, just a note that only other musicians will get; I love this song so much that it's the #1 reason I intend to spend $110 on a delay pedal. =D
