Why Is It...

That society tells you think outside the box, but when you come up with a clever answer in school or an unorthodox solution at work, you get detention at school or a docked paycheck at work or, if more serious, a suspension from school or get fired?

Also, why is the highest punishment in the school system suspension, which is fancy talk for being punished by being kept out of school?

The highest punishment is expulsion.

And its more of a long-term thing. BEing suspended/expelled can really ruin you in the long run.

Cuz you probably weren't thinking outside the box.

My Middle School would punish me for "fighting" [in reality, it was self-defense] by making me miss classes that I hated.

flawed logic

I had that exact issue. But I found that if I could just say it in a polite way, then it tends to work. After all, if I'm in school, I can just complain if they punish me for thinking. :D

I think that's for the benefit of everyone else, not for your punishment. XD

The thing I never understood, is why is it illegal (as in, you get JAIL-time, budday) to even ASK questions about a holocaust perpetrated against one people, while there's many holocausts that dwarf it in sheer numbers?

Like... why? Since when is gaining knowledge of something on your own "bad"?

I understand if you're like building a super particle collider to understand rare atomic structures... you might start a catastrophic explosion. But JUST asking questions or being firm in the pursuit of scientific research to prove specifics to a world-changing event?

Insanity.

That's ILLEGAL?

Madness.

I guess...I don't know why they think they're punishing people by forcing them to stay home from school. Kinda backwards, innit?

Some teachers at my school go into apocalyptic shock if I/someone suggests something that they haven't thought of.

Also, why is talking, the sharing of original ideas (thereby expanding your mind with new content, aka the point of education), a bad thing at school?
